International Manhunt Launched for Dutch Mocro Maffia Leader Who Fled Spain

The Marbella court has issued an international arrest warrant against Karim Bouyakhrichan, the head of the Dutch Mocro Maffia who fled Spain after being released at the end of February by the provincial court of Malaga.
On Tuesday, the Marbella court issued two search and arrest warrants against Karim Bouyakhrichan, who fled Spain while under judicial control and had to report to the court every two weeks. The fugitive, arrested in January in the city, had been placed in pre-trial detention on the orders of the investigating judge. His lawyer appealed this decision to the provincial court of Malaga, which decided to release the accused and set his bail at 50,000 euros, recalls El Español.
The public prosecutor’s office of the Marbella court had strongly opposed this decision to provisionally release the head of the Dutch Mocro Maffia, indicating that he was the subject of an investigation for alleged money laundering and drug trafficking offenses in Spain. The Malaga court also mentioned the existence of a real risk of flight, but this did not prevent it from ordering Bouyakhrichan’s provisional release, considering that there are other means than detention to prevent the accused from escaping, including the withdrawal of his passport and the prohibition to leave the national territory.
Accused of having threatened to kill Princess Amalia, the Moroccan is the most wanted and dangerous criminal in the Netherlands, according to the authorities of that country who have requested his extradition. The Audiencia Nacional, having responded favorably to the request of the Dutch authorities, summoned Bouyakhrichan to inform him that the procedure for his extradition had been launched. This is how it was discovered that the criminal was no longer in Spain. According to some media sources, he would have taken refuge in Morocco, more precisely in Nador where he has family, property and contacts.
