Interfaith Groups Unite to Aid Struggling Students in Villeurbanne Amid Pandemic

In a spirit of solidarity, the Othmane Mosque and the Notre-Dame de la Fraternité Church have decided to come to the aid of students in need in these difficult times of Covid-19. They are preparing to offer them a meal and hygiene product baskets on the Doua campus in Villeurbanne (Rhône), on March 27.
The Othmane Mosque and the Notre-Dame de la Fraternité Church, which maintain a strong interfaith dialogue following the attacks in Nice, are organizing a social action in favor of underprivileged students. With the help of Edi Baïben, a volunteer accustomed to organizing charitable events, they have decided "to intervene for the students by bringing them a meal," reports Actu.fr. Several associations and several Villeurbanne actors are participating in this distribution.
The distribution will take place on Saturday, March 27 at Quai 43, opposite the double mixed. In total, more than 300 meals and 300 hygiene kits and laundry detergent bottles will be distributed. More than 110 students have already registered via an online questionnaire. In addition to the meals and kits, restaurateurs or Villeurbanne brands will offer jobs to the students. Employment is the other emergency in this period of health crisis related to the coronavirus. "This need to work has intensified in recent months due to the health crisis," insists Edi Baïben.
