Paris Grand Mosque Launches Free Meal Program for Students Amid Economic Hardship

The Great Mosque of Paris has decided to come to the aid of underprivileged students of all origins and religious denominations. It plans to offer them meals starting this Monday, February 15, which will be distributed by the bakery on Rue Daubenton.
On his Twitter account, Hafiz Chems-Eddine, rector of the Great Mosque of Paris, specified that these meals will be offered between 12 and 3 p.m. upon presentation of the student card.
Actions to help people in difficulty from the Muslim community are very numerous in France. We can cite for example Brahim Bourkia, owner of the restaurant l’Étoile de Fès in Mantes-la-Jolie who has decided to offer menus to anyone in need.
This is also the case of a butcher in Vénissieux who offers packages of several kilos to people in difficulty. The list of beneficiaries is established with the help of the town hall.
