Moroccan Associations Host Ramadan Iftar for International Students in Paris

In this sacred month of Ramadan, Moroccan associations in France are multiplying solidarity actions. A "Solidarity Iftar" was organized on Sunday, April 25 for the benefit of foreign students in France.

Several associations including the Association Ichmarine France for Development (AIFD) honored foreign students at the Maison du Maroc located on the campus of the Cité Internationale Universitaire de Paris. For Cherazade Oujebour, a human resources consultant and fervent association activist, it was a "fabulous moment", she said, satisfied with the smooth running of this event open to all students, regardless of their origins.

For this event, several Moroccan dishes including Harira, Rghaifs, Baghrir, Fdaouch with chicken, dates, chabakia and many others prepared by volunteers, were distributed to the students, affected by increasingly difficult living conditions with this health crisis, reports Atlasinfo. According to Amira, Kenza and Rabiaa, all three volunteers who participated in the preparation of the dishes, "the conditions of the students break the heart".

A thesis supported by Mustapha Nait Ali, president of the Association Ichmarine France for Development (AIFD) and one of the main organizers of this Iftar, who hammered that "the situation is more complicated with Covid. It is even more difficult for foreign students who are alone and far from their families", stressing that this solidarity event was made possible thanks to the support of the Fondation de la Maison du Maroc.

Although the pandemic has turned everything upside down and put foreign students at the Cité Internationale Universitaire de Paris in great misery, Cherazade Oujebour, Mustapha Nait Ali and many others continue to take action towards underprivileged people. In addition, during this sacred month, associations and mosques are multiplying solidarity operations in order to support many destitute people.
