It all started with a dispute between the two cellmates over this plastic ashtray. The victim, a car park attendant in prison for his involvement in an assault and battery case, lost consciousness after exchanging punches.
Taken to the prison infirmary before being evacuated to the Hassan II Hospital in Fez, the victim did not survive.
