In Morocco, 6,000 dirhams a month to exceed the median salary

The median remuneration recorded in Morocco reaches 72,000 dirhams per year, according to data published by Prosfy. Spread over twelve months, this amount corresponds to 6,000 dirhams. Half of the salaries recorded by the platform are below this threshold and the other half above it.

The disparities are significant. The 50% of salaries located in the middle of the sample range from 48,000 to 174,000 dirhams per year, or between 4,000 and 14,500 dirhams per month. The threshold for the top 10% of earners exceeds 228,500 dirhams annually, equivalent to approximately 19,000 dirhams per month.

The detailed data by occupation place an accountant’s salary at around 5,000 dirhams per month. A sales administrative assistant or sales representative earns around 4,500 dirhams, compared with 4,000 dirhams for a receptionist or a social media manager. The remuneration indicated for a collective catering employee falls to approximately 3,500 dirhams.

An indicator to be interpreted with caution

These amounts do not constitute an official statistic covering all Moroccan employees. Nevertheless, it remains clearly higher than the minimum hourly wage set at 17.92 dirhams since January 2026. In the public sector, the average net salary had already reached 9,500 dirhams in 2024.
