The elected officials propose identifying recurring hotspots, mapping the sectors concerned and scheduling campaigns throughout the year rather than waiting for the situation to deteriorate.

Mohamed Ghafir, president of the RNI group on the Casablanca Council, is also asking Casa Baia to intensify its interventions in neighborhoods where reports regularly recur and to measure their results.

However, he believes that pest control does not depend on a single actor: the municipality must also monitor the quality of the service and better coordinate interventions related to waste, cleanliness and public spaces.
