Ilyès Bennane: Morocco smiles, Belgium cries

Summoned by the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF), the Liège-born Moroccan, Ilyès Bennane, a Genk player, will soon make his debut with Morocco.
Ilyès Bennane is expected to join Morocco soon, where he is expected to participate in the preparatory gathering of the under-15 national team. He is among the 24 players called up by the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) for the matches against Zambia. He thus becomes the youngest player ever called up by the FRMF. Six other players playing in the Belgian championship, the majority of whom are of Moroccan origin, are also on the list.
Until last February, Ilyès was the youngest Belgian international of all time. Recently, he has abandoned the Belgian under-15 team for Morocco, to the great surprise of many, thus fulfilling his father’s wish to see him represent the team of his country of origin. The one who received an invitation from Real Madrid to join the "Merengue" academy is a young talent who seems to have a great future ahead of him.
