Morocco Targets Dual-Nationality Players to Boost National Soccer Team

Morocco continues its quest for dual national talents to strengthen its national team, in preparation for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations and the 2030 World Cup. Several players are in sight!
The Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) continues to be active in an attempt to convince several dual national players in France, the Netherlands and Belgium to join the den of the Atlas Lions. The FRMF wishes to recruit Chamseddine Talbi, a 19-year-old striker playing for Club Bruges in Belgium.
The young player, considered one of the promises of Belgian football for having made his debut in the Belgian lower categories (U15, U17 and U19), would have given his in-principle agreement to wear the Moroccan jersey, aware that he would have more opportunities with Morocco than with Belgium.
Morocco has already managed to snatch several dual national talents from Belgium and the Netherlands. This is the case of the nugget Ilyes Bennane, a young striker from the Belgian club Genk, or Adnan El Boujjoufi from the Dutch club Go Ahead Eagles. With 15 goals this season, Boujoufi is attracting the interest of several major European clubs such as Ajax Amsterdam, Seville and Tottenham.
