Illegal Textile Factory Owner Arrested After 26 Workers Die in Tangier Flood Tragedy

A few hours after the drama in Tanger which resulted in the death of 26 people, the owner of the "death" factory was arrested, announced the president of the Karama association for the defense of human rights on Monday.
The arrest of the owner of the clandestine factory by the judicial police elements takes place as part of the investigation opened to determine the exact circumstances of this work accident.
Early in the morning, 26 employees of this factory were trapped by the flooding caused by the recent rains that hit the city of Tanger. It caused a short circuit that was fatal for the workers. Alerted, the local authorities, the security services and the civil protection intervened on the spot and were able to rescue about ten employees. As for the deceased employees, including women, their bodies were transferred to the morgue.
