Iconic Moroccan Actress Souad Saber Retires from Film and TV

Moroccan actress Souad Saber, an iconic figure of Moroccan cinema and television, has announced her withdrawal from the Moroccan artistic scene.
The actress states that this decision is motivated by her desire to preserve her dignity and respect the legacy she has built throughout her career. The actress also mentioned the difficulties encountered by aging Moroccan artists, including the sometimes unfair treatment by certain producers and directors.
Souad Saber took this video opportunity to clarify the reasons for her absence in recent years, highlighting health problems that have forced her to stay away from filming sets. "I don’t want to cause any inconvenience to directors or producers because of my difficult health condition," she said.
Faithful to her principles, the actress said she wants to end her career as she started it: with dignity. She notably denounced the derisory fees offered to some actors, refusing to work for "3000 dirhams", while other artists receive considerable sums.
