Iconic Marrakech Luxury Hotel Mamounia Reopens After Extensive Renovation

After a few months of renovation work, the Mamounia opens its doors on October 16th. Good news for tourists, who have started to set foot in Marrakech in recent days.
A few months ago, this grand luxury hotel closed its doors to get a makeover. The bet of the team in charge of the renovation is to succeed in giving a facelift while preserving the charm and heritage of this mythical place open for nearly a century. It is a bet held and won by Pierre Jochem, the General Manager, Patrick Jouin and Sanjit Manku. The "new" Mamounia combines comfort, modernity, aesthetics and novelty.
The former tea room becomes "Le Salon de Thé par Pierre Hermé". It is a corner reserved only for breakfast as well as a selection of carefully crafted sweet and savory delicacies by the famous Pastry Chef Pierre Hermé, who is thus strengthening his collaboration with the palace.
The pastry chef will also be in charge of the Italian Bar where exquisite savory creations of French gastronomy will be served, including the old-fashioned veal blanquette, or the crab, avocado and grapefruit salad. And that’s not all.
The Mamounia has also partnered with Chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten for the creation of a corner reserved for Asian menus and another for delicious Italian dishes. The latter corner aims to offer its customers the best pizzas in Marrakech.
