Contrary to rumors, the Ibn Sina hospital continues to provide care for serious or urgent Covid-19 cases. The hospital has also not interrupted surgical procedures.
Dr. Hrora Abdelmalek, in charge of this hospital, recalled the reasons behind the publication of this service note of October 12. According to him, the temporary suspension of hospitalizations was decided, with the exception of urgent cases, pending the resumption of all scheduled hospitalizations.
According to the director of the hospital center, the pressure and heavy workload due to the spread of Covid-19 are the reason for this suspension of non-serious hospitalizations for a period of 72 hours.
