Iberia Resumes Spain-Morocco Flights as Moroccan Airspace Reopens

Following the announcement of the reopening of Moroccan airspace, the Iberia airline has decided to resume its regular flights between Spain and Morocco starting Monday, February 7, 2022.
As of February 7, Iberia will resume its flights between Spain and the Moroccan cities of Marrakech, Casablanca and Tangier, the company announced on its Facebook page.
On Thursday, the Moroccan government announced the reopening of the airspace that had been closed since November 29, 2021 to flights departing and arriving in Morocco from February 7. "This decision comes in accordance with the legal provisions relating to the management of the state of health emergency and following the recommendations of the scientific and technical commission and taking into account the evolution of the epidemiological situation in the kingdom," it said in a statement.
Pending the effective reopening of Moroccan airspace, a technical commission is examining the measures to be adopted at border posts and the conditions required for travelers, which will be announced later.
