Huawei Morocco Pushes for Rapid 5G Deployment to Boost Digital Ecosystem

Huawei Morocco is ambitious to deploy the 5G network as quickly as possible in the kingdom.
"Today, the ambition of the Huawei Morocco team is to enable the deployment of the 5G network as soon as possible with telecom operators to allow the local digital ecosystem to boost its connectivity and fully benefit from the technological and business opportunities related to the Internet of Things (IOT), cloud, Big Data and artificial intelligence," said Chakib Achour, strategic marketing director at Huawei Morocco, to Medias24.
He assures that this deployment must defend "the digital sovereignty of Morocco and protect the data of its companies and its citizens". According to Mr. Achour, more than half of Morocco’s telecom infrastructure is based on solutions from the Chinese supplier Huawei.
