Hotels in Morocco: the addition of marital status on the identity card under discussion

Faced with the difficulties encountered by Moroccans in proving their marital status to certain hotel establishments, the Haraki group proposes its miracle solution: integrate this information directly on the electronic national identity card.
The lack of a clear legal framework regarding the request for a marriage certificate by hoteliers creates embarrassing situations for couples. By inscribing the mention "wife", "widow" or "widower" on the electronic national identity card, the parliamentary group wishes to put an end to this practice and simplify the procedures for citizens.
This proposal would also, according to the Popular Movement, make it possible to fully take advantage of the potential of the new identity card. In addition to online identity verification, the electronic national identity card would become a complete and reliable document, thus strengthening confidence in digital administration.
The Haraki group also advocates the use of Arabic, Amazigh and Latin on the card, thus affirming the importance of multilingualism and national identity.
