Homeless Man Arrested for Fatal Assault on Moroccan in Algeciras Street

A repeat offender residing in Ceuta was arrested on Tuesday for the alleged murder of a Moroccan in a street in Algeciras.
The victim and his alleged killer lived on the street and had known each other for many years. In the course of a fight between the two individuals for reasons not yet elucidated, the defendant, 45 years old, after having assaulted the 53-year-old Moroccan, dealt him a fatal blow to the head.
Alerted to the tragedy, the police arrived quickly on the scene where they found the lifeless body of the Moroccan while his killer had already fled before being arrested.
According to the Police, he is a repeat offender, wanted for several charges including theft, acts of violence and drug trafficking.
For the needs of the investigation, the suspect was taken into custody.
