Al Hoceima Launches Winter Safety Plan Amid Cold Wave
Measures have been presented by Farid Chourak, governor of the province of Al Hoceima, in the face of the effects of the cold wave affecting the region.
During this winter period, it is planned to distribute 1,300 improved stoves to the inhabitants and firewood for the school establishments. Also, agents will be mobilized to raise awareness among families to place pregnant women in maternity wards.
It is also planned to take care of the homeless in social centers and to hospitalize people suffering from mental disorders at the provincial hospital. According to the 2m channel, in the event of road closures, teams have been mobilized and have appropriate logistical means to respond quickly.
The meeting, led by Farid Chourak, is part of the implementation of the instructions given by the King to pay particular attention to citizens of mountainous areas during periods of snowfall, rain and cold.
