Historic El Al Flight to Morocco Marks New Era in Israel-Morocco Relations

The first direct flight of the airline El Al Airlines is scheduled for Tuesday, December 22, 2020. This inaugural flight, which follows the normalization of relations between Morocco and Israel, should last 6 hours.
This highly anticipated flight is expected to carry on board a joint American-Israeli delegation, reports Reuters. It was authorized following the resumption of relations between Morocco and Israel negotiated by the outgoing American president, Donald Trump.
Jared Kushner, son-in-law and special advisor to the American president, will lead this delegation composed of Adam Boehler, CEO of the US international development, Avi Berkowitz, Trump’s special envoy to the Middle East, Meihr Ben Sahhab, Israeli national security advisor and many others to sign the first historic document between the two countries.
Moreover, the plane will be decorated with a khmissa (or a hamsa as it is called in Israel), Moroccan, Israeli and American flags and a message of peace written in three languages.
