Historic Casablanca Landmark: Lincoln Hotel Set for Major Renovation

The Urban Agency of Casablanca and the French Group, "Réalités", through its branch, "Réalités Afrique", have just endorsed an agreement for the renovation and operation of the "Lincoln" Hotel.
This agreement represents the first phase of a rehabilitation program, intended to determine the terms of acquisition of the property and its operation by the two contracting parties.
The "Réalités" Group had won the call for expressions of interest, launched in 2018 by the Urban Agency of Casablanca, relating to the acquisition, rehabilitation, renovation and operation of the mythical hotel.
The redevelopment of this historical heritage is part of the Government and local authorities’ strategy to rehabilitate the city center of Casablanca through the preservation of its architectural heritage (Art Deco).
According to the Director of the Urban Agency, Tawfik Benali, "by creating a link between the heritage of the regions and their attractiveness, the Urban Agency of Casablanca seeks to consolidate Casablanca’s place among the most important metropolises in the world. This agreement represents not only the renovation of a building, but the rebirth of an entire historic neighborhood".
