Luxury Watches, Cash Seized in Marrakech Urban Agency Corruption Probe

Valuable items were confiscated from the home of the former DG of the urban agency of Marrakech, Khalid Ouaya, after searches carried out as part of a corruption case.
New evidence is incriminating the former DG of the urban agency, Khalid Ouaya, in this controversial case. Arrested in flagrante delicto of corruption with an amount of 500,000 DH in cash and a check for 8.8 million DH, other elements have just come into play for the same case, the hearing of which is scheduled for November 21.
Indeed, following the searches carried out in his two villas in Rabat and Marrakech, the police were able to confiscate 42 luxury watches and bracelets of all brands: Rolex, Chopard, Hublot, Cartier, Bulgari and Boucheron, reports TelQuel.
To this fortune are added a hundred jewels set with precious stones and more than 74 luxury handbags (Hermès, Valentino, Ferragamo, Prada, Céline, Christian), not to mention 2.5 million dirhams in cash, found at his home, specifies the same media.
It should be noted that the check was issued in his name by the plaintiff, Rachid Hosni, a renowned real estate developer in Marrakech, in favor of the IFA Conseil company, run by Khalid Ouaya’s wife, who is also involved in the same case.
These new elements that are added to the case under investigation are likely to cost the former DG dearly.
