Hidden Fortune Eludes Italian Brothers: 900,000 Dirhams Buried by Late Father in Morocco
In Béni Mellal, two brothers residing in Italy are desperately searching for a large sum of money they had sent to their father. He passed away without informing anyone of where he had hidden the money.
An unusual story about two brothers who work and reside in Italy. They were sending large sums of money each month to their father residing in Morocco, with the goal of saving it until their final return. The total funds would amount to 900,000 dirhams. Except that the father had chosen to keep the money in a traditional manner. He preferred to bury it in wooden chests, in the corners of his house, or even underground, rather than depositing it in banks.
Upon their return to Morocco, the two brothers seek to take possession of their money. Their father having since passed away, they ask their mother to tell them where the money was. She knows nothing about it. The father had not revealed to anyone the location of the treasure he had hidden for years. Since then, the brothers have been desperately searching for this large sum of money. They are scouring every corner of the house and every plot of the family land, even going so far as to dig in the neighboring olive groves. So far, the searches have been fruitless.
