Hervé Renard Reflects on Morocco’s ’Special’ World Cup 2018 Journey

Now engaged with the Saudi Arabia team, Hervé Renard, former coach of Morocco, looked back on his Moroccan experience, in particular, his expedition to Russia as part of the World Cup.
Hervé Renard, during his interview devoted to the qualification of the Atlas Lions for Russia 2018, pointed out that this experience was "very special".
According to him, the Moroccan team set itself objectives and tried to achieve the most important one by qualifying for Russia 2018. He goes on to recall that the Lions obtained "excellent results" against more performing opponents.
"On a personal level, my relationship with the players was excellent. The team spirit was present all the time. During international breaks, even our injured players wanted to stay in the competition. I was very happy with the atmosphere," said the former boss of the Atlas Lions’ technical staff.
