Heroic Rescue: Man Plunges into Icy Meuse River to Save Woman in Liège

A young man risked his life by jumping into the very cold waters of the Meuse, near the town of Bressoux, in the province of Liège. A woman had accidentally fallen into the river.
Nadir did not hesitate a second when he saw the woman in the water. After undressing, he threw himself into the water to rescue her. Unfortunately, the banks of the river did not allow him to extract the woman by himself. He therefore kept the victim afloat, fighting against the current and the cold while waiting for the arrival of the emergency services.
Called by the witnesses, the firefighters arrived quite quickly on the spot. They rescued the two victims, who are currently in the hospital where they are both recovering from the accident.
