Belgian Retiree Murdered in Morocco: Suspects Arrested in Alleged Robbery Plot

The body of Giuseppe D., a septuagenarian from the Liège region, found lifeless in his apartment in Kenitra, will be repatriated to Belgium for the funeral. The events took place on May 17 near Rabat.
The alleged murderers, a 25-year-old man and woman, were arrested the day after the murder by the police after a very quick investigation.
Giuseppe’s body showed signs of blows, indicating violence and apparently premeditated, most likely with the intention of robbing the septuagenarian.
One of the arrested persons, the young woman, was an acquaintance of Giuseppe D., who had been living between Belgium and Morocco for several years. The surveillance camera images showing the suspects leaving the victim’s building contributed to their identification, recalls Sud Info.
The searches carried out following their arrest led to the discovery of personal belongings belonging to the victim, including sums of money in local and foreign currency, as well as a bag identified as the property of Giuseppe D.
