New Helicopter Service to Link Tangier and Algeciras in 15-Minute Flight

The Spanish company Helity, specialized in passenger transport, has just announced the opening of a new air link connecting Tanger airport to the Algeciras heliport by helicopter.
The announcement, which should delight thousands of Moroccans wishing to reach Spain without going through the tedious crossing of the Strait of Gibraltar, specifies that the travel time does not exceed 15 minutes.
According to Spanish media, the new line will be operational from 2020, pending the company obtaining all the necessary authorizations on both sides of the Mediterranean shore.
Furthermore, the average fare for the crossing is estimated at 500 dirhams, knowing that the price of the boat trip is set at 300 dirhams for a one-hour crossing.
