Heavy Rain and Snow Alert Issued for Multiple Moroccan Provinces

Heavy thunderstorms of orange level and snowfall will affect several provinces of the kingdom tomorrow Saturday, December 25.
These heavy rains with local thunderstorms (20-45 mm) are expected on Saturday from 00:00 to 18:00 in the provinces of Chefchaouen, Fahs-Anjra, Kénitra, Larache, Ouezzane, Sidi Kacem, Tangier-Assilah, Taounate and Tétouan, the DGM specified in an orange level weather alert bulletin. Moderate thunderstorms will hit these provinces as early as this afternoon, it is further specified.
Snowfall (05-15 cm) will be recorded on Saturday from 06:00 to 18:00 in the provinces of Al Haouz, Azilal, Boulemane, Ifrane and Midelt.
In addition, the provinces of Chefchaouen, El Jadida, Fahs-Anjra, MDiq-Fnideq, Tangier-Assilah and Tétouan will experience fairly strong gusts of wind (60 to 75 km/h from the South).
