Hakim Ziyech insulted as "Stupid" by an Israeli player

Moroccan international Hakim Ziyech is once again at the heart of a controversy after his comments published on social media. He was even insulted as "stupid" by an Israeli player.
Violent incidents broke out in Amsterdam on Thursday evening on the sidelines of the Europa League match between Ajax Amsterdam and Maccabi Tel Aviv (5-0). Israeli supporters would have been targeted and attacked by individuals in the streets of the Dutch capital. Videos of these attacks have circulated on social media, notably relayed by the former Ajax player, Hakim Ziyech, accompanied by the comment "And again and again: freedom for Palestine".
This sharing provoked a strong reaction from the Maccabi Tel Aviv striker, Eran Zahavi, who described Ziyech as a "stupid supporter of terror" and called on UEFA to take sanctions. The European football body firmly condemned these acts of violence and assured that it would work with the authorities to identify and punish those responsible.
The Israeli supporters denounced the lack of police protection when leaving the stadium, leaving them at the mercy of the attackers. The extent of the violence and the number of people involved remain to be determined. UEFA announced that it would gather all the evidence and reports related to these events.
Hakim Ziyech, currently a Galatasaray player in Turkey, is known for his sometimes controversial positions on social media. He had already made headlines by posting photos with Quincy Promes, a Dutch international involved in a legal case.
