Gulf Resident Arrested in Fez for Alleged Torture and Sexual Exploitation of Young Woman

In exchange for 50,000 dirhams, a young girl from [Fez] agreed to tie her destiny to a Gulf national through a religious marriage, before being repudiated.
The individual, a permanent resident in the spiritual capital, was arrested on Tuesday, February 11, by the police, for his alleged involvement in the torture and sexual exploitation of a young woman, about twenty years old.
Despite his attempt to reconcile with the victim in order to push her to withdraw her complaint filed with the public prosecutor’s office, the accused was taken to the Fez police station to answer for his crimes.
In her statement, the victim told the police that the Khaliji, who had real estate in the city, was involved with a network of intermediaries specialized in the "fatiha" marriage of young girls with Gulf nationals.
Sexually exploited, then physically and psychologically tortured, the young victim turned to an association that provided her with legal and mental support, through psychological follow-up and the provision of a lawyer.
