US Green Card Lottery 2022 Opens: 55,000 Visas Available, Registration Deadline Nov 10

It is still possible to realize the American dream, despite the threats of the American president to put an end to the green card lottery in the United States. The US State Department, in charge of the Diversity Immigrant Visa program, has just announced the availability of 55,000 visas for fiscal year 2022.

Persons interested in expatriation to the land of Uncle Sam must use the form available on the website www.dvlottery.state.gov to submit their application, subject to meeting the two eligibility criteria below:

• Not be a citizen of the countries excluded from the program: Bangladesh, Brazil, Canada, China (including Hong Kong), Colombia, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Guatemala, Haiti, Honduras, India, Jamaica, Mexico, Nigeria, Pakistan, Philippines, South Korea, United Kingdom (except Northern Ireland), and Vietnam.
• Have a high school diploma (Baccalaureate), or demonstrate two years of professional experience in a field requiring at least 2 years of training.

The results of the draw will be published between May and September 2021 on the US State Department website. The registration confirmation number is necessary to access the results.
