Global Initiative Launched to Advocate for Moroccan Sahara, Backed by 3,000 International Figures

The International Platform for the Defense and Support of the [Moroccan Sahara] has been launched. This independent and autonomous structure is the initiative of nearly 3,000 personalities from academic, media and civil society circles from 155 different countries and five continents.
The objective of this platform is to convey the voice of the populations of the Moroccan Sahara, as they are often confronted with "campaigns of denigration and mystification led by Algeria and the Polisario", it is indicated.
As for the personalities of the Platform, they intend to forge a shared vision with their interlocutors around Morocco’s role as a haven of peace, stability and development in Africa and in the world. This vision also concerns its commitment to definitively end the regional dispute over the Moroccan Sahara.
Moreover, another stage is planned. It takes into account the communication around this alternative vision of the Moroccan Sahara region through the production of books, articles, and audiovisual content around the world.
