German MMA Fighter Wilhelm Ott Converts to Islam During Lockdown
In the midst of confinement, a German MMA fighter has just announced his conversion to Islam.
Confined to his home, the Austrian boxer, Wilhelm Ott, pronounced the shahada (Islamic declaration of faith), while observing the social distancing imposed during this health crisis period. He announced his conversion to Islam on social networks through the publication of a viral video. He confides that he embraced Islam after long reflection and research.
Wilhelm Ott claims that the confinement period was of great use to him to discover Islam further, and that it was only after that that he made the decision to become a Muslim. According to the local press, his desire for conversion was born following fights against Muslim opponents.
The boxer Wilhelm Ottannée started his career in 2008. He has 16 wins for 33 fights against the best boxers in the world to his credit.
