Former Moroccan Boxing Referee Dies from COVID-19 in Marrakech

The world of sport is in mourning. A former boxer died this Sunday, March 29, from the consequences of the coronavirus.
Mohamed Boukanioun, after testing positive for covid-19, was hospitalized for a few days in Marrakech before succumbing to the virus.
The deceased was a former boxer at the Najm Association in Marrakech, reports Le360.ma. After retiring from boxing, he became a regional referee.
His wife and 5 children, still hospitalized in one of the hospitals in the ochre city, unfortunately will not be able to attend the funeral of the illustrious deceased.
