Liberian President George Weah denied rumors that his country would support the organization of the 2025 CAN in Algeria to the detriment of Morocco.

Rejecting these allegations in a statement, George Weah reiterated his "full and strong" support for the Moroccan candidacy. "Liberia approves and fully supports Morocco’s candidacy to host the 2025 CAF Africa Cup of Nations. I made this commitment to King Mohammed VI. It is carved in stone," reports TelQuel.
For George Weah, Morocco has made "remarkable investments" and continues to work for the development of football. Reasons why he "deserves to host the biggest African football celebration".
