Gendarme Fatally Shot at Moroccan Air Base; Circumstances Under Investigation

The young gendarme received a shot fired at very close range from the pistol of his colleague, the gendarme pilot, and died on the spot. But the versions of the facts differ. A bullet that remained in the accused’s pistol despite its deliberate unloading would be the cause of a tragic accident. The gendarme would have been shot on the background of a quarrel between colleagues.

After the incident, the senior officers of the Royal Armed Forces (FAR) went to the scene. The body of the victim was transferred to the morgue of the Mohammed V Military Hospital in Rabat for an autopsy.
