Gas Leak Claims Lives of Mother and Two Daughters in Fez Bathroom Tragedy

A woman in her sixties, as well as her two daughters, died on Sunday, February 16th, in the bathroom of their home in Fez, due to a gas leak.
Visiting their mother, who lives alone in a house in the city center, the two sisters wanted to help her with her bath. However, they all lost consciousness in the bathroom.
The 3 bodies were transferred to the Ghassani Hospital in Fez. An investigation has been opened by the judicial police services, under the supervision of the Public Prosecutor’s Office.
Not far from the city of Fez, more precisely in Khemisset, 6 members of the same family, including 2 girls aged 6 and 8, had met a tragic end in 2017, following a butane gas leak from a water heater.
