Gang Leader Sentenced to 30 Years for Violent Crime Spree in Argenteuil, France

After nearly 9 hours of deliberation, the Assize Court of Val-d’Oise in France sentenced, on Wednesday evening, in the case of the wild ride in Argenteuil, the gang leader, Brahim A, who had been on the run since March 13, 2017, to 30 years of criminal imprisonment, and this by default. The two other defendants in this case were sentenced to 12 and 8 years in prison.

Wanted since the events that took place in March 2017, Brahim A., 26 years old, is found guilty of the armed robbery of the motorist of the tobacco shop. He is also accused of raping the mother of the family, in the presence of a child who was pretending to sleep next to her. These criminal acts took place over a period of five hours, with 13 victims, including several children, recalls Le Parisien.

The prohibition of possessing a weapon for ten years and the issuance of an arrest warrant against him for the facts of armed robbery, kidnapping and rape were also notified to him by the Court.

The first co-defendant, Ilyes G., 22 years old, was sentenced to 12 years of criminal imprisonment for armed robbery, kidnapping of the family and violent theft. He was also ordered not to possess a weapon for 10 years and not to stay in Argenteuil for five years after his release from prison.

The second co-defendant, Nordine D., 24 years old, the driver, was sentenced to 8 years in prison, a sentence accompanied by a socio-judicial follow-up for 10 years where the prohibition of contacting the victims was required, under penalty of up to five additional years in prison.
