Galatasaray’s Younes Belhanda Undergoes Surgery After Double Jaw Fracture

Atlas Lion, Younes Belhanda, was the victim of a double jaw fracture on Friday, September 13, during the match between Galatasaray and Kasimpasa. However, the duration of his unavailability is not mentioned in the team’s medical report.
The attacking midfielder of Galatasaray was seriously shaken during a clash with Veysel Sari, in the final minutes of the match which was won by Belhanda’s teammates.
"Our player had a successful operation in the early hours of the morning, in the plastic and reconstructive surgery clinic, under the chairmanship of Dr. Zeynep Sevim," the statement said. However, no details were given on the Moroccan’s period of unavailability.
It remains to be seen whether Belhanda will be able to play the confrontation against the Brugge club for the first day of the Champions League group A, on Wednesday, September 18.
