Galatasaray Considers Offloading Ziyech Amid Poor Form and Coach Tensions

The future of Hakim Ziyech at Galatasaray is darkening. Arrived in Turkey two years ago, the Moroccan international could already pack his bags during the next winter transfer window. Indeed, according to the Turkish press, the Istanbul club would consider parting ways with the player as early as January.
Several reasons explain this situation. First, Ziyech failed to convince on the pitch. He failed to establish himself as an undisputed starter and his performances did not live up to expectations. Then, his relations with coach Okan Buruk deteriorated after an incident at the end of August. Replaced during a Europa League match against the Swiss Young Boys, Ziyech had publicly expressed his discontent, which did not please his coach. Since then, he has been sidelined from the team.
An injury sustained with the Moroccan national team in September further complicated the situation a little more. Absent for more than a month, Ziyech has not played for Galatasaray since his return from injury.
Despite a contract that runs until 2025, the Turkish adventure seems to be coming to an end for Ziyech. The club management does not wish to keep him and would favor a departure as early as this winter. Several clubs in the American Major League Soccer would be interested in his profile.
The Qatari club Al Arabi could also be a way out. "No club could refuse a player of Hakim Ziyech’s stature," the coach of Al Arabi, who would already be in contact with the player.
