Fugitive Moroccan Woman Arrested for Drug Trafficking at Spanish Port

The Spanish police arrested a Moroccan woman at the port of Tarifa who was wanted by the Spanish justice system. She was the subject of an active arrest warrant for a drug trafficking offense.
The agents stationed at this port located and arrested the Moroccan woman as she was about to board a ferry to Morocco, accompanied by her 3-year-old daughter, reports the website of the Spanish radio station COPE.
The 36-year-old suspect had been caught in 2020 with drugs in a vehicle. The criminal chamber of the National Court ordered her arrest and imprisonment for "crime against public health."
The fugitive was made available to the 4th investigating court in the city of Algeciras, according to police sources. Her daughter, on the other hand, was admitted to a protection center, with the authorization of the juvenile prosecutor’s office.
