Fright at Marrakech Airport: the ceiling collapses due to the storm

The incident occurred at the level of the dome, on the city side. As the "Francis" storm raged over the Kingdom this Friday, the gusts of wind overcame a part of the false ceiling structure. Fortunately, more scared than hurt. According to ONDA, the technical teams had spotted signs of fragility before the fall and had preventively secured the perimeter. This anticipation made it possible to avoid any accident with passengers or staff at the time of the collapse.

The Office is reassuring about the continuity of the service: despite this spectacular incident, the airport remains fully operational. Flights are maintained and passenger flows are circulating normally, simply by bypassing the marked security zone. Technical investigations are already underway to assess the extent of the repairs, which should begin "as soon as possible".
