A restaurant in the Hivernage district that had just reopened its doors is likely to be singled out for the use of expired food, reports the site Kech24. A complaint was filed with the health services of the prefecture.
Armed with medical certificates, the 10 customers, some of whom had already returned to France, filed a complaint with the restaurant manager. Despite the seriousness of the facts, their grievances remained unanswered, the same source points out.
In 2019, the Daily Mirror had published a study that ranked the places most prone to food poisoning. Ranked 7th worldwide, the city of Marrakech had recorded 83 deaths between 2017 and 2018.
