A French tourist, born in 1940, was found dead in his caravan parked on his land in Souk El Gour, near El Hajeb.
According to local sources, the tragedy occurred last Thursday around 5 p.m. A butane gas leak would be the cause of the fire that cost the vacationer his life. However, an investigation has been opened by the Royal Gendarmerie to clarify the facts.
The septuagenarian regularly stayed in the region with his Moroccan wife, originally from the city. The couple was in the habit of spending their holidays between Meknes and Souk El Gour, where they owned a plot of land.
