Body Found in Morocco Believed to Be Missing Belgian Tourist

The local authorities of the Souss-Massa region discovered, on Monday evening, in a forest area near the Tamri beach, the lifeless body of a man in an advanced state of decomposition. It could be Dries De Graeve.
The first elements collected on the spot, as well as the presence of personal effects found at the top of the rocky cliff, suggest that the man would have fallen, leading to his death.
Although the identity of the deceased has not yet been confirmed, it could be a Belgian tourist who disappeared at the end of November. Genetic analyzes are underway to confirm this.
A judicial investigation has been opened by the Royal Gendarmerie, under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor’s office, in order to determine the exact circumstances of the tragedy.
The body was transported for medical autopsy, which will make it possible to collect genetic fingerprints, carry out the necessary analyzes and expertise, and to make potential comparisons and matches.
