French Schools in Morocco Use Textbooks with Disputed Sahara Maps

In Morocco, many school textbooks containing maps of the kingdom amputated of the Sahara are on the program in French high schools.
While the United States has recognized the Moroccanness of the Sahara and unveiled the official map of Morocco integrating the Sahara, French high schools continue to use the old map. This finding has prompted Moroccan customs services to seize several batches of school textbooks, scheduled by French high schools in Morocco. According to concordant sources, it is a geopolitics textbook representing maps of the kingdom, amputated of its Sahara, reports Le Courrier de l’Atlas.
This is not the first time that textbooks on the program contain maps of Morocco without the Sahara. In El Jadida, parents had forced a French high school in December 2021 to remove a geopolitics textbook containing 19 maps of Morocco amputated of the Sahara. A textbook used in the first year of the baccalaureate. A few months earlier (May 2021), the network of Belgian schools had had to apologize to Morocco after the use in the fundamental section of mathematics textbooks containing a map of the kingdom without the Sahara.
