French Rapper Mister You Arrested at Airport, Begins Prison Sentence for Drug-Related Charges

While he was going to Morocco to spend his vacation there, the rapper Mister You was arrested at Orly airport (Val-de-Marne) and then incarcerated in the prison of La Santé (14th arrondissement of Paris).
The rapper’s arrest took place last week at Orly airport (Val-de-Marne). It is part of the execution of the 24-month prison sentence that Mister You had been sentenced to in 2021, reports Le Parisien. "The 24-month sentence handed down by the Paris Court of Appeal on March 9, 2021 was executed on Thursday, July 21 (2022)," the Créteil prosecutor’s office confirmed. The 38-year-old rapper was accused of promoting an important drug dealing point in the Paris suburbs, the Caliweed network, on social media in 2019.
Robin Binsard, Latifi Younès, alias Mister You’s lawyer, reacted to this incarceration: "The execution of this sentence without prior summons is a procedural madness, and a human shame in a context where my client has seen his twins born three weeks ago." And he added: "A hearing for the adjustment of the sentence will be held on September 21 in Paris".
