French Hiker, 69, Dies in Fall from Cliff in Morocco’s Al Haouz Region

The body of a French national was found on Sunday evening near Tassa Ouirgan, in the Al Haouz region. An investigation has been opened by the gendarmerie to determine the exact circumstances of the death.
The 69-year-old victim was with a group of people, according to the local authorities cited by the MAP, adding that she was participating in a hike in the Takherkhort forest.
They specify that it was the companions of the French national who alerted the authorities following her disappearance. Quickly on the scene, the local authorities as well as the Gendarmerie services "mobilized to search for the victim whose body was found at the foot of the rocky cliff".
The Royal Gendarmerie has decided to open an investigation to determine the exact circumstances of the tragedy.
