French Tourist Killed in 4x4 Accident Near Laâyoune, Morocco

Terrible accident in southern Morocco where a French woman was killed on the road connecting the cities of Laâyoune to Tarfaya. The tragedy occurred on Sunday evening.
The accident occurred about fifteen kilometers from Laâyoune, reports the site Goud.ma, citing local sources. Few details have been given about the tragedy, but it seems that the French national was on board a 4x4 vehicle (Toyota Land Cruiser) that overturned.
Her husband who was with her as well as another person, whose family ties were not specified, were also injured in this accident which occurred on the sidelines of the "Passion désert" race.
All the injured were transferred to the Moulay Hassan Ben Mehdi hospital in Laâyoune, while the body was transferred to the morgue of the same hospital, we are told.
An investigation has of course been opened by the authorities to determine the exact circumstances of this accident.
