French Fugitive Wanted for Attempted Murder Arrested in Marrakech

A 43-year-old French national was arrested in Marrakech on Monday, February 3. Suspected of being involved in an attempted murder committed in France, he was the subject of an international arrest warrant.
This arrest follows a request for international judicial assistance issued by France. The man is accused of having participated in an attempted murder on French soil, acts for which he has been convicted.
The operation leading to his arrest was carried out following thorough investigations. Thanks to the information provided by the International Criminal Police Organization Interpol, the Moroccan authorities were able to locate the fugitive, who was the subject of a red notice.
The individual is currently in custody in Marrakech. The Moroccan and French authorities are collaborating to organize his extradition to France, where he will have to serve his sentence.
