French Embassy Organizes Ferry Evacuation for Citizens Stranded in Morocco

The French embassy in Rabat invites French citizens stranded in Morocco wishing to return to the mainland by sea to fill out a form available on its website. A special crossing is scheduled for April 24, 2021.
"Subject to obtaining the agreement of the Moroccan authorities, this crossing will be made on a ferry from the company La Méridionale. The departure will be from Tanger-Med on Saturday, April 24, 2021 in the late afternoon (the exact schedule will be specified later), for an arrival in Marseille on Monday, April 26, 2021 in the morning," the embassy said in a statement, specifying that registration is required per vehicle and per person.
The French representation warns that any registration made outside this form or with incorrect information cannot be taken into account. "This form only records the wishes of people wishing to use this link. If the link is opened, the people who have registered on the list will be called by the shipping company to purchase the tickets, the embassy also indicates, recalling that special flights and crossings operate only in the Morocco-France direction.
"In the event of leaving Moroccan territory and until further notice, given the suspension by the Moroccan authorities of links to Morocco, people residing in Morocco will no longer be able to return," the statement concludes.
